COOKING UP COMPASSION: OUR COMMITMENT TO MERCY CHEFS

HOME IS WHERE THE HEART HEALS: THE COPPEDGE APPROACH

In the heart of Portsmouth, there's a silent struggle that tugs at our hearts at Coppedge Insurance Agency. It's the fight of families grappling with the unimaginable: a child facing a life-threatening illness. This is where our journey intersects with Edmarc, a beacon of hope and support. Their compassionate approach to care extends beyond medical needs, enveloping families in a cocoon of support, understanding, and love during their most challenging times.

SHELTERING HOPE!

UNITED HEARTS, HEALING HANDS!

UNITING HEARTS, CHANGING LIVES!

Compassion and support can make a real difference in a challenging world. Our agency believes in giving back and creating positive change. We're excited to share our journey with ForKids, Inc., an organization dedicated to ending homelessness and poverty for families and children in need. For over 30 years, ForKids has made a lasting impact on thousands of lives. They understand that homelessness is a complex issue requiring comprehensive solutions. By providing housing, education, employment, and mental health services, ForKids equips families with the tools they need to become self-sufficient.

FILLING HOMES WITH HOPE!

At Coppedge Insurance Agency, we understand the immense challenges of a life-threatening illness or disability. That's why we are proud to support Edmarc, a non-profit organization that provides comfort and care to seriously ill children and their families in Virginia. Established in 1997, Edmarc has offered emotional and financial support to families in Hampton Roads, Virginia, and beyond. Edmarc's mission is to provide compassionate care and support to families of children with life-threatening illnesses and to promote awareness of the needs of these families.

BUILDING COMMUNITY THROUGH UNITY!

Candy Cares is a charity that helps people who don't have enough food by giving them help, resources, and education. This noble organization provides way more than just a meal. Staff and volunteers work around the clock to ensure members of their community receive nourishment for the mind, body, and soul. Furthermore, the enthusiastic team hosts events throughout the year to raise funds and awareness for our community's most vulnerable neighbors. Whether it's an annual dinner or a local food drive, check out what's happening in our local area and see how you can get involved!

SERVING UP HOPE!

Mercy Chefs is a faith-based, non-profit disaster relief organization. They collaborate with established, like-minded organizations to further their mission by providing food service in underserved communities nationwide. They supply professionally prepared, restaurant-quality meals to victims, volunteers, and first responders during natural disasters and national emergencies.

IT’S TIME TO HELP OUR WOMEN IN NEED!

Here at Coppedge Insurance, we are a family-oriented organization that prioritizes homes and families in all our endeavors. We greatly believe in giving back to those in need, and we've decided to support HER Shelter and its' mission to provide emergency shelter and support to women and children victims of abuse.

YOU CAN’T BUY LOVE, BUT YOU CAN RESCUE IT!

The Portsmouth Humane Society is a nonprofit organization that strives to ensure these animals receive the love and warmth they need until they are placed into their fur-ever homes. In one year alone, they performed 33,580 dog walks, cared for 2,150 animals, found adoptive families for 1,324 animals, and completed 1,300 spay/neuter surgeries. All of this was made possible with the help of their noble volunteers and staff, but they can't do it alone.

RISING UP TO THE MEANING OF COMMUNITY!

Oxford Languages defines community as "a feeling of fellowship with others, resulting from sharing common attitudes, interests, and goals." In our community, Mercy Drops does its very best to instill that by making it its mission to bring hope alive by offering free resources and services to connect people with a need to a community of support that addresses their immediate and long-term needs. Through their various programs and services, they operate in "homelessness, poverty, and education."

HOPE LIVES HERE!

Edmarc is a non-profit organization and the first pediatric hospice in the nation. Since opening its doors, Edmarc has brought hope and joy to hundreds of families during their darkest days. Individuals interested in improving the lives of our community's most vulnerable neighbors can participate in various Edmarc programs. Nursing, patient and family support, grief counseling, and other services are available through these programs.

PROTECTING WOMEN WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY!

As an agency that emphasizes the safety of our community, the team here at Coppedge Insurance is aware of the significance of our community, especially the people within it. Every year, more than 5 million women are victims of domestic violence, and at least one child witnesses the great majority of these attacks. We want to give these victims a voice to stop this once and for all. It is time we put domestic violence to an end, and we need your help to do this.

YOU CAN BANK ON SAVING LIVES!

1 in 6 adults in southeastern Virginia lives in or near poverty. The Foodbank distributes food to our community through partner agencies and program sites. This noble organization has distributed over 360 million pounds of food for over 300 million meals throughout our 4,745 square mile service area. For this reason, our agency is on a mission to support the local community of Portsmouth and help Foodbank provide the resources they need.

HELP US SAVE THE TATAS!

The Coppedge Insurance Agency wants to help the Virginia Breast Cancer Foundation teach, advocate for, and eliminate breast cancer. They are regional ambassadors for the #AgentsofChange network and are committed to helping families in Portsmouth and the surrounding areas beat this terrible disease. This campaign will give direct help to agencies, programs, and outreach efforts that speak up for the needs of all Virginians who have been affected by breast cancer and teach everyone about it.

THE COPPEDGE INSURANCE AGENCY JOINS THE AGENT OF CHANGE MOVEMENT!

Every 90 days we will be identifying a child, family, or group that could use a hand. A great number of people are going through hardship, even as you read this right now. Through our new Community Cause program, we will be doing what we can to help them.
